Prawns Fry

Prawns-Fry

Ingredients

Prawns 250gms

2 onions

2-3 green chillies

pinch of turmeric

1 tsp red chilli powder

salt to taste

4-5 tsp oil

1tsp ginger-garlic paste

1tsp garam masala

1/2 cup water

curry leaves

coriander leaves

Procedure

  • First devein the prawns….and clean them thoroughly in a running water.Now,switch on the stove…keep a vessel and add the prawns and fry them till all the water from the prawns comes out.
  • Now,take another vessel pour 2tsp oil and once it is heated add prawns and stir them for 2mts.Add chilli powder,pinch of salt,turmeric and  stir them for a minute.switch off the stove.This process keeps the prawns fresh.
  • Grind the onions and green chillies together and keep aside.
  • In a cooking vessel pour oil and once it is heated add onion-green chilli paste and stir till the onion paste changes its colour.Add salt so that the onions cook fast.
  • Add prawns and fry for a minute or 2.Now,add turmeric pwd,red chilli pwd,ginger-garlic paste ,curry leaf and stir continuosly to avoid the curry to stick to the vessel.Add water and close the lid for 5mts.
  • Open the lid and add garam masala and cook for an other 5mts.Add sufficient salt …switch off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice,lemon,onion…….also goes with chapathi…..

Mattar-Paneer Curry

Mattar-Paneer

Ingredients

1 small cup Mattar

100gms paneer cubed

1 big onion

1 tsp chopped green chilli

1 tomato pureed

red chilli powder

pinch of turmeric

salt to taste

3-4 tsp oil

1 tsp jeera

1 tsp jeera pwd

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1 cup  water

1 tsp coriander pwd

garam masala

kasuri methi(optional)

corainder leaves

Procedure

  • In a cooking vessel pour oil and wait for 1 minute.Now,add jeera,Chopped onions,green chilli,salt  and fry till the onions turn light brown.
  • Now,add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.Add water in between to avoid the curry to stick to the vessel.
  • Now,add mattar,turmeric pwd,coriander pwd,jeera pwd,red chilli pwd one by one and cook for 2 mts.
  • Add water and close the lid for 3 mts.
  • Now,open the lid add tomato puree and cook for an other 2 mts with the lid closed.when the oil separates from the curry add paneer cubes,kasuri methi,garam masala and  finally corainder leaves.
  • serve with roti ..can also be served with hot rice……
